University of Edinburgh- CPSP- “Her name was Sita” (2023)
The Center for Pesticide Suicide Prevention (CPSP) is a research institution based in the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. The university, established by Royal Charter, is a renowned public research university.
CPSP was founded in 2017, thanks to an Incubator Grant from the Open Philanthropy Project Fund. Its primary focus is on raising awareness about the fact that individuals do not necessarily need to be psychologically ill to contemplate suicide. The center believes that impulsive decisions can also lead to suicide, and one effective approach to reducing suicide rates is by banning certain lethal pesticides.
