Kalikot is home to Nepal’s tallest waterfall- Pachal waterfall which stands at an impressive height of 381 meters. However, the district is plagued by rampant child marriage. To address this issue, Khandachakra Municipality offers Rs. 10,000 to Dalit girls who marry after the age of 20. 

In Narharinath, Raskot, and Khadachakra, teenage girls have taken the initiative to campaign against Chhaupadi- a practice involving the seclusion of women during menstruation. Additionally, a group of mothers in Naraharinath has led a campaign against alcoholism in their community.
