Posts of Nuwakot

There were nine (nau) forts (kot) in the region, from which it was called Nuwakot. Nuwakot played a significant role during the rise of the Shah dynasty, and the first Shah king also constructed two palaces there. If you need a scene for bullfighting in a rural set-up, Nuwakot’s Taruke is the right place for you. If your project is on the flesh trade- this is a go-to place. The region also suffers from being the landfill site of Kathmandu Valley, resulting in periodic conflict between the two regions.
