Posts of Rautahat

Rautahat is derived from two words, Raut (via Yadav/gwala) and Hat (haat bazar via market), which means Ratuahat is a settlement of Yadav. The region also has an archeological site, and according to the research of Durham University, the site is thought to be as old as the first century BCE. 

Rautahat is known for the brick kiln massacre conducted by Aftab Alam, the person who murdered villagers simply to terrorize his constituency and win the election in 2008, which he did, our database contains a detailed chronology of the events of this story.
