Formerly known as Bahra Bandal Atthara Khandal was originally a part of Dailekh when the district was referred to as Dochanchaur. In 2021, 400 Badi communities held a sit-in protest in the Provincial Cabinet office, demanding land rights. It was found that 43% of Badi did not possess any land, while 57% of Badi lived on public land. Moreover, 75% of Badi struggled to secure enough food for themselves.
